Lucinda comes to coaching and vocational mentoring with over 30 years of local church experience from a micro sized congregation to multiple staff large church senior pastorate, former Executive Pastor of Worship and Ministerial Development at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection and currently as a popular consultant/coach in the Missouri and Great Plains Area of the UMC.

Before returning to the Kansas City area, Rev. Holmes served as a District Superintendent and lead pastor of congregations in the Oklahoma Annual Conference. In addition to clergy coaching, Lucinda is currently serving as a part-time pastor for churches “in transition’ for the Kansas East, now the Great Plains Area. ” Rev. Holmes is a Perkins School of Theology, SMU, graduate.

He is widely respected for his unique ability to understand diverse cultures, traditions, and denominational polities; Tom listens, teaches, and empowers leaders to follow Christ faithfully in a world of change
Author of 25 books, in recent years, Tom has provided particular expertise to churches and regional denominations in strategic planning for:
•Church mergers and multi-site ministries; •Streamlined Policy Governance Boards; •Demographic Research and Lifestyle Sensitivity (using both Prizm and Experian demographic material); •Visioning, strategic planning and stress management; •Worship design and spiritual disciplines.
In the course of his spiritual journey, Tom has also been involved in academic theological teaching. He received his master’s degree from Princeton Seminary, and his academic doctorate in philosophical theology from the University of Toronto and Toronto School of Theology.
